For two Sundays in a row; May 31 and June 7, Montrealers united in protests against racism and police brutality. The diversity of the crowd in both protests shows that racism is not a black issue, we have to come together to dismantle systemic racism. 10,000 and then over 20,000 people walking peacefully speaks volume.
On May 31st 2020, a special event took place in Montreal; a demonstration for Justice for George Floyd (Minneapolis), Regis Korchinski-Paquet (Toronto), Tony McDade (Tallahassee), Brenna Taylor (Louisville) and ALL victims of police impunity, organized by Justice for Victims of Police Killings, Hoodstock and Tout Le Hood en Parle. Time to put an end to injustice. #BlackLivesMatter
